Exclusive Interview with Liubomyr Pohreliuk – CEO ,Inoxoft
In this exclusive interview, He shared his experiences in IT and several more things. Let’s check his success story and thoughts.
1. Tell Us about yourself how you start your career in the IT Sector?
My name is Liubomyr Pohreliuk and I am the CEO at Inoxoft – a company we have founded with my business partners in 2014. From the start, I was deeply interested in software development and learned the business inside out. I graduated from the University with a Master of Computer Science. Now, I am working on my Ph.D. in Information Technology.
The start of my own business came with few unsuccessful spin-offs but they were worth the efforts as they brought valuable experience and a good understanding of how we could progress. Have you heard stories about successful people, who started their own businesses but left the university behind the curve in studies? It’s ironic, but I have this kind of experience, too, as I was expelled from the university in the first year. However, there’s good in the situation that has occurred. Around that time, I’ve found my first business partner, Maksym, who is Inoxoft’s Head of Delivery today. Having enrolled the second time, I met another business partner, Nazar, who is now the company’s COO. We became a team and managed to learn and gain enough expertise to be able to grow steadily as a company. For example, we got jobs in the software development field while still being students and climbed up our career ladders outstandingly fast despite the fact that working and studying came along. Sharing a mutual goal, knowledge, and skills made us feel prepared and mature to create something of our own.
2. Tell us in brief about your company and the leadership.
Inoxoft is an international software development company located in Lviv, Philadelphia, Tel Aviv. We build the world’s finest market-leading software and are recognized by Clutch as one of the Top Web Developers throughout many years. Our clients come from all over the world and receive outstanding software development services. We highly appreciate our clients and are grateful for every client review.
Inoxoft’s leadership team consists of the six main key-players. Besides Maksym, Nazar and I, there is a CTO Brad Flaughter, an experienced developer and team leader working in fintech, adtech, logistics, deep learning, and internet-of-things (IoT). Also, we have Iryna Holub, our Head of People Operations, who establishes the working atmosphere internally and Viktoriya Khomyn, a Head of Engagement department, who promotes and establishes Inoxoft’s external relationships with customers. There’re also 130+ people, who bring value on the daily basis to both Inoxoft and our customers by Realizing, Improving, Caring, and being Sharp.
3. What is your outlook for 2021?
Up till Covid-19 happened, till the 1st quarter of 2020 we were providing generic software development services. Before that, we narrowed down our expertise to grow proficiency and maturity in exact domains and technologies. This brought us decent progress at the end of 2020 as we hired a team of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Python engineers. Adding ML and AI assets were part of our journey to innovate our company and become a stronger competitor with specific software development knowledge in growing vertical solutions. Successful decisions could not happen without right people by your side. Fortunately, Brad helped to bring this innovative direction into the company which now we are actively developing.
Also, sustaining growth is the main goal that we continue actively fulfilling. We focus on our potential to keep up with them conducting SWOT, Porter’s Five analysis of our company. However, our prerogative lies in focusing on the next level companies, which have 300-400 employees. Now, Inoxoft continues to build narrow specialization, offering outstanding top-level services and expertise in software development. We also care a lot about our brand: we have a good marketing team, and maintain the best delivery results. All of these factors lead us to sustainability and growth, successful releases, and a strong brand name.
4. How do you assess the role of research agencies like TopappFirms in bridging the gap between clients and service providers?
Today clients find it difficult to choose a potential vendor. However, agencies like TopappFirms provide clients with a list of trustworthy software providers, help them understand what services these companies can offer, what kind of products they develop and how to choose the one that will be the perfect fit for their project.
5. Any particular technology or industry you would be targeting? How do you plan to prepare your workforce for the upcoming technology upgrade?
After narrowing our focus and starting to enhance it in the domains of our expertise, we made a thorough market analysis. The trend of AI/ML was evident and we hired a team of Python developers, had several presentations of how AI and ML works from our CTO Brad Flaughter and the Python team. Now, we went even further and produced a two-months Data-focused programming course. I believe our future is in AI, ML and Big Data-focused technologies.
6. What all services do you think you would add to your offerings in 2021?
We believe that our services are complete, so we focus on enhancing our expertise in mobile application, web development, product design, Big data analytics and Machine learning services in industries such as Logistics, Healthcare, Retail, Fintech, etc. Also, we offer a Discovery Phase service to eliminate any risks of building an app and get the best solutions to satisfy client’s needs. Also, we offer Dedicated, and Extended Team cooperation models depending on the clients’ business needs.
7. What are the challenges you see in the outsourcing industry and how much you’re prepared to face those challenges?
The keys and, at the same time, the challenges to a successful outsourcing relationship are in: understanding the aim of the project and developing it according to the client’s expectations; attracting resources such as fresh views, knowledge, and experience; and, in communicating with others. Everyone would agree that the latter is the pillar of building strong partnerships and relationships as well as gaining mutual respect and trust. For this reason, our core people have a good command of English, and improve it all the time. We have developed few communication levels in delivery and have a client partner internally that ensures our communication practices are good.
Our company overcomes every challenge successfully by working with clients all over the world and remaining effective in the process. Magic happens despite pandemic, time differences, remote collaboration, and so on.
8. How helpful are the Web and mobile apps developed by your team, for enhancing your clients’ business?
We love receiving clients’ feedback on how our applications create an impact on industries where our clients operate. To make this happen, our apps should be reliable, have a great UI/UX, secure and robust. Teams on the client’s side are delighted and mark the easiness with which they can work using our released products. But I believe that the best way to find out how our applications strengthen businesses is to view what our clients think themselves.
9. What according to you are the best practices to attain client satisfaction?
We care about the results and strong partnerships with our clients. Understanding their specific business needs and its realization has always been at the best time-money value. Our team creates a personal approach to each client and that makes our cooperation smooth and successful.
10. Tell about your successful project.
For us a successful project is the one that meets up to 100% of our client’s needs and expectations. When they are satisfied with a work, communication, timeline, all the important key metrics of project delivery and want to continue working with us. That’s what I call a successful project.
11. How do you help your clients in choosing the right yet profitable platform for Web development?
Everything depends on the client’s needs. Our company approaches every project on an individual level, taking into account customer’s desires, requirements, and platform’s purpose. First of all, our team listens to what our clients have to say, their business needs, and final expectations. Then, we offer possible solutions based on the requirements, market analysis, and functionality that would fit client’s expectations the most.
12. What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021 after COVID 19?
Regardless of Covid 19, the cost of a software project depends on the project scope document, complexity of the product, seniority of the team, deadlines, and the total estimation of time efforts of engineers. We provide cost estimation depending on the requested features, amount of time, and experts we need to meet the client’s expectations.
13. Please describe the operational structure of your company- from the moment a client walks in, to the product deployment.
Like in any software development company, the client comes in with the idea and a business need. Our team of experts initiate the project planning stage, where they turn client’s words into the project vision and scope document. This document covers every need and expectation with a fully-functional solution. Then, the requirements are thoroughly analysed, and discussed with every key stakeholder. Market tendencies are also taken into account. The better we understand our customer’s requirements and the needs of potential users, the better will be the output.
To test and verify the idea, our designer team performs mockups and prototypes – visual interpretations of the clients’ ideas. The design of the product has to meet the clients’ needs and be amiable for its end-users. After the visual part is decided on, a complete UI/UX design is created.
During the stage of product development, our quality assurance team catches potential bugs and ensures the app will function appropriately. Next comes the release and there is a possibility of further app support.
14. After service is a necessary part of development. How do you provide customer support to your client?
After finishing the project we have to be sure that the final product is maintainable and we are not leaving our client with the project one by one. There are some important things you need to guarantee: documentation transfer, code maintainability, and product warranty. If the after service is requested by clients, we provide support by keeping applications up-to-date, decreasing bugs caused by the updates in third-party APIs, and update these apps with new features corresponding to the latest OS versions.
15. Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
There are no generic recommendations. The choice of a platform is affected directly by the customers’ business needs and their target audience. There is a platform and technology stack defined specifically for each project and end-users. Or, at least, a platform can be chosen taking into account the business requirements and actual market research.
