Exclusive Interview with Vipin Nehra – CEO, SVAP Infotech

In this exclusive interview, He shared his experiences in IT and several more things. Let’s check his success story and thoughts.

1. How did you start your career in IT Sector?

Beginning my career at Tech Mahindra was a life-changing decision I've made. It was the opportunity that can either take me to the seventh sky, or I will be here where I'm now - my heart said after working for a few months.

After learning to assess and make distinctions, I've been planning to go for something big. It's said that "opportunity knocks at every man's door", and the same happened, and sooner I was the essential part of SVAP Infotech.

I knew that the organisation I'm stepping into is in its initial phase, but the utter confidence and a vision to lead this organisation to a Big Name stimulated me to be an integral part of business processes.

2. Tell us in brief about your company and the leadership?

SVAP Infotech was established in 2014. The company comprised a team of a handful of technical experts and business analysts initially, but gradually we are now a team of 300+ employees.

The kind of leadership and bond of the management and the employee you will witness in SVAP Infotech is the rarest of all. We are so open with our work process and so intense about our opinions that the energy doesn't lose out anywhere in the middle, and we climb higher with each passing project.

The open-door policy for every individual to raise discussions helps create faith in the management. The discussions and debate at our coffee table or on the terrace can be labelled as the day's brainstorming time.

3. What is your outlook for 2021?

Nobody wants to lack behind when it comes to the future. We plan not to do things the same every year, and with the hard work, we achieve what we aim for.

Expanding the team was one thing; now, but having expansion offshore was at utmost priority. We had targeted UAE and successfully established our foot in the IT market of UAE. Now we have pinned a few other countries and looking forward to it.

4. How do you assess the role of research agencies like TopappFirms in bridging the gap between clients and service providers?

We are all working towards the same motive, and that is to increase our presence online as eventually, it will benefit the business.

Collaborating for the exchange of services and getting associated is always a wonderful experience.

5. Any particular technology or industry you would be targeting? How do you plan to prepare your workforce for the upcoming technology upgrade?

Technology doesn't stop evolving; it keeps on spreading its wings, and all we have to do is keep a count and be a step ahead. Our technical team are the enthusiasts that keep on upgrading their version of skill sets.

With this zeal, we keep on experimenting and move forward and capable enough to deliver the trending technologies integrated with our solutions.

6. What all services do you think you would add to your offerings in 2021?

Our list has always had a wide range of services for our clients. We have always aimed of integrating the latest technologies in our development process for the most flexible and trending solutions for our clients across the world.

7. What are the challenges you see in the outsourcing industry, and how much you're prepared to face those challenges?

The outsourcing industry has its pros and cons, and it depends on how you take it or how good you are to fight the challenges. Working with offshore businesses or individuals is a bit inconvenient with the coordination because, at times, you might be coordinating with people of different countries.

We have a fixed way of dealing with such situations; we choose the suitable time on both ends to have a seamless functioning of the project and communication.

8. How helpful are the Web and mobile apps developed by your team for enhancing your clients' business?

Business realities often require acting quickly and decisively, without time to weigh or discuss options. It'll be helpful to know how your candidate will respond. This question can also tell you whether they are more conservative in their approach — or willing to take calculated risks.

9. What, according to you, are the best practices to attain client satisfaction?

Bonding with your clients is the essential factor when you are a part of a service providing firm. When we talk about client satisfaction, the major principles that our team follows to attain our clients is the quality of service we provide, the guidance through the complete development process and all that comes under the umbrella of cost-effective solutions.

Providing consultation with the best suitable functionality, infrastructure, technologies and platforms to opt for is the best piece of advice required by the clients on the other end.

10. Tell us about your successful project?

We have a list of projects that we are proud of as they are doing excellent in their field.

Myteam11 is one of the leading fantasy sports applications and doing excellent in providing a platform for users to play fantasy sports.

SportsTiger is one of the only leading video streaming apps for all cricket lovers across India's country.

Al-shorts- A new aggregator presenting news in 30 seconds in the region of UAE and India.

The list is unfathomable with our success stories. I can't tell you about our success story, as every project we've worked on has something peculiar we've admire interacting with. 11. How do you help your clients in choosing the right yet profitable platform for Web development?

We begin the Web/App development journey with the Requirements Elicitation/Gathering sessions, which is done primarily to make the Software Development Life Cycle smooth and efficient. We conduct the Requirements workshops with the end client and try to know their business end to end.

Choosing the right yet profitable platform becomes easy when the client requirements, vision, and business goals are explicitly conveyed.

Factors like business models, future user expectations make us suggest the platform for the same.

We suggest a platform according to the expected user base; for example, PHP is often indicated with fewer anticipated users.

12. What is the price range (min and max) of the projects you catered to in 2021 after COVID 19?

The average price of the projects that we have converted after the COVID-19 were,

Min. 5000-10000 USD

Max.- 35000-50000 USD

13. Describe the operational structure of your company - from the moment a client walks into the product deployment?

The moment you enter the SVAP Infotech doors, we begin our product development Journey right after conveying the essential information required to initiate the process. In the beginning, the purpose is to ensure that the standard requirements are not ambiguous and the entire team has a collective idea of the project.

Later, we assign a Business Analyst responsible for gathering the high-end requirements and preparing the end client's documentation. Once the project is onboarded, we then assign a Project Manager who acts as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) during the development journey with the end client.

The team that we involve in the development is

a. Business Analyst/Pre-Sales Consultants

b. Project Managers

c. UI/UX Designing Team

d. Front End Development Team

e. Back-end Development Team

f. Quality Analyst team

These experts perform their responsibilities with the development process, and later the product is ready to be deployed and hit the market.

14. After service is a necessary part of development. How do you provide customer support to your client?

For a client, after services are essential, concluding with the overall success of the end product is a crucial phase because, with the changing market demands and needs, one had to always keep on integrating new features that make the end product competitive.

We have come up with different Paid Maintenance plans that suffice the clients' needs with these situations.

The client can approach the selected membership plan as their need as their own needs, including the dedicated and a fixed cost model.

Under the reliable model, the client can hire resources on an hourly basis and access those resources as per their own needs. Other is the fixed model, where the end client can give the new requirements to the team, and the assigned Project Manager gives the fixed cost for the same.

15. Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?

Stating biased advice from the client's perspective is seemed unethical to me. Unless we know the client's requirements, we do not release any statement citing an unbiased opinion towards the project for technological adaption. As an IT Enterprise, we always look forward to meeting the several parameters that every business design have in common to build a standstill concurrence.
